officially graduated and other good things

I have SO much to talk about. Whenever I go a few days, I sometimes get overwhelmed and forget the GOOD stuff. Like... we put the trampoline together.. and I got some cool shots of it going together.
i'm the man!

loved the angle of this one

spring into action

wheeeeeee bouncy bounce

tired dogs

See that cutie above? Yep her - Katelyn graduated 5th grade and will now be attending middle school next year. Her fourth semester grades were all straight A's. I am damned proud! She received all kinds of certificates & awards from citizenship to honor roll. The ceremony at the school was sweet, and they showed a slide show presentation that was available for purchase.. so happy I bought one. It was only $1!

Katelyn and Doug tossing the football.. my fav shot from the day - something about it just makes me think Superman.
you remind me of superman here

In other news, after we took Katelyn out for some celebratory end of school year fun -read as CHUCKY CHEESE -
and... Doug decided not to go forward with speaking or obtaining custody of Amanda.
I urged him to make up his own mind, as he was wanting to base this decision on my reaction (health wise) and Katelyn's. I didn't want Doug to be able to come back years from now and resent us... make sense? I still, hope and pray he doesn't in the future.. guess time will tell. I'm relieved but feel a little guilt... guilty conscience by nature.. sure doesn't help when I wanted nothing to do with the kid after all these years.

Sigh. I know I'm not explaining how and why he came to the decision he did very well, but the stress has eased up astronomically. I appreciate (we appreciate) all your support and comments on the matter.

I'll end with a cool color shot.
resisting the pool

other GOOD stuff to come tomorrow.

  2. Oh, I love your trampoline shots! Even though those things scare the beejeebers outta me, lol! Tell Katelyn CONGRATS for me on her school accomplishments...that's such a BIG DEAL and I'm proud of her, too!! I hope she likes Middle School. I liked it a lot because we actually had different teachers for different subjects, and the whole structure was different....made me feel like, I don't know, more grown up, kwim? Lol, I still haven't taken that nap!

I'm glad you've resolved the issue of whether or not to take Amanda in, and I'm sure it wasn't an easy choice to make. Hopefully you've prayed about it and can have peace! One more bit of advice before I go....SEX!! It's good for what ails ya! lol ;)
