Movie Monday with Some Odd Girl

HAPPY Monday friends.

Today I am up over on the Some Odd Girl blog, and you can find me coloring up the beautiful Frenchie Gwen.

You can see my process video here.

I decided to color her up in B&W with my Prismacolor pencils.
I wasn't sure how I would like it, but I kinda dig her. :)

What do you think?

Photo Magnets

Good morning.

I'm up on the Clear Scraps blog today sharing my Photo Magnets.
Here's a quick peek for you.
I totally didn't see my mug in the feather until I got into the blogging part of this project. No takesy backsides now. hahaha

Since the kids haven't seen their mama in awhile, I thought it would be nice to send her these fridge magnets with their pictures on it so she can see their beautiful little faces whenever she wants.
Have a great day!!

Super cute.

I colored Tia up using my prisma color pencils on Kraft paper.
Join us for this months challenge. ANY SOG Digi and if you want, the twist. SO much fun!

SOG April Release Review

Kristy from Some Odd Girl is bringing back retired stamps by turning them into digits! YAY! May they live on forever and ever.  This month, a whole slew of awesomeness was brought back, you can check them all out HERE.

I created with this darling fella, Bouquet Tobie.
I used the Cameo Silhouette to write the sentiment... oops, trial and error, I double cut it and really didn't need too.. which is why it looks a little sloppy.  Hopefully whomever receives it will look past that oopsie. hehe

Have a gorgeous weekend friends!
XOXO

Coloring contest with K&C & SOG!!

Hi friends!
Its a perfectly fun day to share my take on coloring up Gardening Mae from Some Odd Girl. Some Odd Girl and Kit & Clowder have teamed up for a fun coloring challenge. You can check that out here.

I printed out Gardening Mae onto a 7 x 10 watercolor paper. I painted her with the watercolors. It was my first time doing this so I thought it would be easier at a much larger size.
I was right, because there is a learning curve to using any new medium.

I added in some prismacolor pencils atop the watercolors to add in more definition and to correct some rough spots in my watercolor. lol

Once I had it all finished, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with such a large painting. I decided to frame it and treat it similar to a mixed media canvas. Some of the embellishments and stamping is right on the background with Mae, and others are placed on the frame of the glass.

So, I hope you join us for the coloring challenge. You can get Gardening Mae for a low low price, but you have to get the code from Alyce at Kit & Clowder. Would love to see you join the challenge!

XOXO
Leah

The challenge this month for Some Odd Girl is as always Anything Goes, and the twist is Nothing Square.

I created this cute little guitar card in my Silhouette and colored up Guitarist Tia using my Prismacolor Pencils. I kept it simple as to focus on Tia and the cute little guitar shape.

15 years

Married to my love for 15 years yesterday.
The years have flown by.
I'm guessing that just means we've been having lots of fun.
These photos are from last April, we need to get some new ones taken.
He's the best man and husband I could ever dream of having in my life, and I am so lucky to have him. We've been together 22 years come November.
I've been with his handsome man almost half my life.
It's awesome to be able to have a partner in crime and just someone you love to hang out with.
I still can't wait for him to come home from work everyday. <3

hehe I love you Doug. Thank you for being such a sweet husband and my best friend in life.
And here's a card I made for him for our anniversary.
I wrote there sentiment using my Silhouette Cameo, then colored it in with a gel pen.
I colored the Raccoon Burglar from Some Odd Girl with Prismacolor Pencils.
You can see all the March releases from Some Odd Girl - here.
