NSD crops!!!

I am totally enamored with this contraption in the video below.

Could you imagine the cool things you could capture with that thing?
Ahhh... if only I had an unlimited money tree in the sunroom (I wouldn't plant it in the backyard for anyone to come along and pluck the money) I could buy that contraption and hook my DD's camera on there. ;)

ONE days away until National Scrapbook Day!! YAY!!!
Two places very near and dear to my heart all holding an online crop...
I'll letcha know where later today!
Ah, shucks... I'll tell ya now, just don't tell on me! ;)
Timeless Daydreams - starts on Saturday, challenges due Monday the 3rd.
Treasured Scrapbooking.. all day Saturday :)
Hope to see you there!!

Hold your pen right!!

I've been repeating this statement a lot the last few days... It turns out, Cameron is a lefty. I mean, we always KNEW.. ever since he was a young toddler, he would grab to color with his left hand... and eat with his right. Everyone else in the house is a righty. I'm having a hard time teaching him how to hold the pen correctly.
Anybody out there left handed that could give me some pointers?
I could always try googling.. just haven't yet.
The worksheets I printed out for them came from here... You can type anything you want.. I also made them their own worksheets with their full names.
(She said she was trying to write with her eyes closed!)
They love tracing the shapes, and have really jumped into it this week.

IN other fantastically smashingly COOL jump up and down and holla' news....
Timeless Daydreams asked me to be their Design Team Coordinator, at least for the next three months!
I really am so excited!! They create gorgeous shabby chic kits... their heaven in your hand.
They also created a new blog here. Get the word out... once they reach 50 followers on the blog, they'll do a giveaway! Leave a comment there and let Dolores & Michele know I sent ya. (ok.. that parts not required.. but it's fun, and only takes a second.)

Off to make lunch.. oh, and the lovely frames came from CoffeeShop.. they also have free actions! Just love 'em!

I am up to my ears in DT work right now, it's so much fun, yet makes me nervous because I want each page 'to be good' or better yet 'inspiring'.. sometimes I'm too hard on myself.  Speaking of scrappy work.. I have news to share.. as soon as I get the go ahead, I'll be posting here. :) I'm super happy.

Yesterday Doug and I put new brakes on his car, went to moms house for dinner, and snuck away to Bruster's to eat icecream and watch the rain fall... the last part was my favorite. We also hit Michael's and I picked up a set of blades for my cricut, some cricut pens, cheap black cardstock (why can't they carry plain ol happy black Bazzill dang it?) paintbrushes, $1 journals for the kids, and foam brushes. A sweetheart behind me in line handed me a coupon.. totally unexpected. Love the generosity of a stranger, she saved me $6. :)

I've started using igoogle as my blog reader since news is that Bloglines will be going out of business soon.  Happily, I'm getting used to it and was able to import my feeds with an opml file. yay!

Random photos, and happy Sunday to you!

Make the cut

So my hubster was so sweet yesterday.. took ALL my *not so* subtle hints, and told me to go ahead and purchase the program Make the Cut. YAY!! (and it's on sale right now too...)
Creating your own files in there seems like it will be SO easy.
Here are two funky little borders I made. I'll be using them soon.. even if they aren't all that. *grins*
download...     Border Points 1 (the blue)
download... Border Points 2 (green)

I made a card today, and am off to switch out loads of laundry.  Don't be hatin'! ;)
Have a happy scrappy day...

blah blah blah

It's a horrid song by Kesha, but I have to admit, the Blah Blah Blah part of the song is my favorite.  I made it into the last round over @ Timeless Daydreams.. and we had to scrap about ourselves. (yeeps!) I kinda dislike all topics of moi, and Blah Blah Blah jumped into my head... so I went that route with my title. I created it in SCAL2 and cut it with my Cricut. I'm not sure how to turn the scuts into an SVG.. if I figure it out, I will share the title here.  We also had to include then things about us, and use Timeless Daydreams logo colors. I'm happy with the end result. Now to make some changes for me.. that's that tough part. ;)
the journaling is hidden behind the title and focal photo.. and the white is just there to help show off the round layout.
My sweet hubs is in the kitchen making a meatloaf!
Thing 1 is probably loading onto a bus from Six Flags now getting ready to come home... she should probably get in around 10:30ish.
Hubby and I watched tv in bed this afternoon.. it's been a good day!
ETA: If you'd like the .SVG click here. thanks!

April 15th Treasured Scrapbooking Reveal

I will just say it is SO hard waiting to reveal scrappy work.. I always feel like a kid waking up on Christmas morning when you get the green light to upload! ;)
I had so much FUN creating with the April kit and add on this month from Treasured Scrapbooking.

This post is going to be image heavy.. I apologize in advance :)

*Party*
All april kit with the exception of the april add on (rub ons); Helmar textured effects and liquid scrap dots you can find in the Treasured store.

*Wonder*
All kit except for acrylic paint, and some corrugated cardboard for the flowers.
Sometimes fussy cutting is therapeutic.  I loved cutting out all the leafy designs from the PP.
The flower center was held together using the Helmar 450 quick dry glue.. I've become quite obsessed with their adhesives.. now if they'd only make tape to fit my ATG gun.. I would be made in the shade! :)

April add on... the Maya Road dress form mini album...
I hadn't altered something in quite some time.. creating this mini album was very fun for me... I won't wait two years to jump on the altered band wagon again... It's fun, and Thing 2 (Samantha) loves it. She keeps asking if she can look at it. :) Every picture you can click on to see larger, just remember to hit the back button to let me know you were here! ;)

I used the Helmar Textured effects on each page... swoon. ♥♥♥

This project wouldn't have been nearly as easy without using the 450 Quick dry glue from Helmar.
I know I sound like a broken record, but this stuff is wicked COOL!!!

This flower was made using the Artisan tape from April's main kit.
Phew.. that was a lot of images, you still with me?
Thanks for letting me share with you.. I have to help my oldest DD get ready for her uber cool trip to DC tonight.. she'll be back home on Saturday.
Oh.. and I am thinking of submitting a last minute entry to Helmar... wish me luck!
... and don't forget to become a fan of Helmar over on Facebook!!

Helmar & Glimmer mist

I created this freestyle piece yesterday for a challenge at Timeless Daydreams.
The requirements were use wings, incorporate a # into your title, and use some lace.
I came up with this.

I have to tell you.. I am in LOVE with Helmar's Textured Effects.  I buy mine from Erin over @ Treasured Scrapbooking. Amazing stuff. I wanted to show you how to combine the texture effects and glimmer mist to create a captivating look for your projects.

So, if you've been wondering why I've not been updating, it's because I've been in 7th heaven playing with Helmar's Texture effects and glues.
Here's the final result from the wing int he video. Isn't the texture with the lovely 'pools' of glimmer mist sensational? :)

The Easter bunny came!!

and he was very generous this year. The kids will have candy til Halloween. ;)  We don't let them have it all at once.. just once in awhile they'll ask, "Can we have candy in our bucket?" Too cute. ;)
Katelyn sporting her new t-shirt.. it's a peace sign made out of birds.. I love it and want one for myself.

Little Sammiecakes found her first egg of the hunt... she was so tickled.

Cam-man all decked out in Spongebob.

I can totally scrap this... not too bad considering they never want to stop and smile for me.

I love this one... the rust colors with the sun reflecting on the shed make me happy... seeing my little ones running around together, helping each other find their eggs.. makes me happy.

Samantha was not happy daddy had snatched her up and kept her from hunting the rest of her eggs. ;)
*random happy photos*
I hope your Easter day was filled with love, happiness, and goodness.
xoxo
