I'm naughty and I know it.

6 days and I haven't posted a thing!

So much going on at home.
Preparing for two crops in February.
Concentrating on eating right.
and exercising.
Catching up on laundry.
Keeping the house tidy.

I need to make myself a schedule so I can stay on track with stuff. I've been utilizing the calendar feature in Outlook 2007 much more - Doug would be proud.

I was going to take a lazy day today, but nope... I've changed my mind.
After I get Cam down for a nap, I'm gonna shake this booty and do some exercising...
maybe work on the bills, and get my schedule in place.

FUN FUN FUN.
(read as boring.boring.boring.)

It's my lifeeeeeeeeee and I love it.
I have a strong urge to listen to Bon Jovi now. ;)

The year is off to a great start!

I was trying out for 1 of 2 DT positions over at Scrappin With Grace since the first week in December. It was a wonderful challenge, made it to final 4 and was waiting for the announcement on who moved on, Sunday. My mom came over for dinner and I was just sweating it, wanting to get online and check. Well finally around 8pm or so I couldn't take it any longer. They hired all 3 of us on as part of the SWG DT!! WOOHOO

We are all ready knee deep in ideas for their Valentines Day Cyber CROP!!!

It's going to be fun, I just know it!!!

SAVE the date for Feb 2 - 4!! A full blown weekend FULL of cropping, games, and FUN!

Several make in takes are in the works and if you're wanting to make some great gifts for the upcoming day, stop in and buy a kit! The large vday kit was custom made for this crop. You will have enough product to complete the make in takes & challenges!! It's way below retail value, so you are getting a lot of bang for your buck! Here's what is in it!

This kit will include 95 % of what you need for the Valentine weekend crop to complete all 8-9 projects and 5-6 layouts if not more! Will not include things like modpodge, inks, paint, stamps, adhesive...
Okay just to show you how much is in the package:
Paper:1 Basic Grey Collection Kit (18 papers, 1 sheet of tags, 1 sheet of alphabet stickers)
1 Junkitz Love Line Papers (6 coordinating patterned papers)
8 12 x12 coordinating Bazzill textured cardstock
6 8 1/2 x 11 coordinating Bazzill textured cardstock
Embellishments:Ribbon, Ribbon and more Ribbon (over 7 -8 yards of coordinating ribbon)
5 coordinating Bazzill envelopes (coin, library, policy)
1 - 2 Junkitz gumdrops
2 - 7 Gypsies red photo turns
over Bazzill coordinating 50 brads (10+ each in 4 coordinating colors)
5 Bazzill coordinating envelopes (coin, library and policy)
35+ Prima Flowers
Project specific items:FrameEnvelopesLittle paper baggies (white/red)
Cut out little album with a ringjelly bellys and baggiesand other things not mentioned as it would give away what we are doing! LOL!
Cost for the kit (includes shipping) is $41.50. This kit would retail for over $53.00. The projects completed on that day will be items you may give away as gifts so you will be able to complete 8-9 gifts and 5-6 layouts (minimum) with this kit!! We also have taken the time to get things ready (cutting out things, etc) to make sure you complete every project on that weekend and have all the valentine gifts completed!
You will also receive a special gift from Kristina!! Hurry as there is limited quantity of these.
Note: you may use your own products and still participate in the crop that weekend but some of the items you may not have and not be able to complete that weekend.
So save yourself running all over (we did that for you!) and purchase the products at a discounted price from me and be all set. Agenda to be posted as soon as it is finalized.
Tell your friends about this wonderful event!Orders must be placed no later than January 25th in order to receive the kit in time for the weekend. As I stated, there is limited quantity so once these are gone, they are gone. Since we are still working on cutting things out and preparing the projects in seperate bags so it is easy that weekend, these will begin shipping on January 20th.

clumsiness sucks

Poor babies. They keep falling down and getting hurt. Friday night Cameron was walking over to Katelyn in the sunroom and he lunged at her the last couple of steps, he fell and hit is head on the dresser.. poor kiddo. Katelyn felt bad she couldn't catch him. She's going to make a great mother when she's older. Anyways, Saturday morning while I was making an omelet for Doug, Samantha saw daddy round the corner and she took off running, she got three feet and SMACK, face first on the kitchen floor. Sometimes I am thankful for that lineoleum, if it had been tile.. I cringe to even think about it. She busted her lip up pretty good. She's such a trooper, cried for a minute or two, then everything was ok. I need to make sure her teeth haven't loosened up any. She was clumsy all day yesterday though, just kept falling here and there. (It runs in the family... ugh!) Oh yeah, after our walk around the neighborhood we played in the front yard. Cam decided to start walking towards the sidewalk, (he was in the grass) and it just played out in slow motion. I saw what was going to happen and yet I didn't move. I feel like a total shit because of it. He fell NOSE first... scraped it up pretty good. I hope it's the last of the falls and scrapes, I don't think I could take any more boo boos!

I've been scrapping like crazy it seems. My mom is coming over today for dinner so I have to clean up the house a bit and put my scrap stuff away. It's crazy warm outside, so I wanna get the housework done and take the kids out to play after lunch. It seriously feels in the 70's here. Love it, but miss not having any snow. I'm beginning to wonder if we will get any at all this year!

I did correct the fact that I forgot the H in birthday.. DUH! lol

These match up beautifully, I just did a rush job on the picture taking.

Journaling on this reads:
fRESH things. There are so many fresh things I love. I couldn’t choose one if I tried. A fresh new baby clean out of the tub, the sweet baby smell that makes your heart smile…. Joy at its finest! Cut flowers bought for me “just because” makes me smile to see them. Tears from a freshly made boo boo, not that I love them, but it’s a memory, although sad, I don’t want to forget about. Fresh hot brownies out of the oven are a comfort food I love. There doesn’t have to be a reason for them. A fresh bloom on a flower I don’t have to work for, just gorgeous! Fresh linens out of the dryer put on your bed after a shower – heavenly. Fresh new born babies, it’s quite simple, gifts from God. It feels like my heart couldn’t possibly hold anymore love for my children. They’re such blessings in my life. Fresh fallen snow in the hour before the children wake, just me and the coffee, and those soft snow flakes falling from the sky. Bucket loads of freshly picked tomatoes from my moms’ garden… so bright, colorful, and yummy. They have a much better taste than from the grocery store. Nothing is more relaxing or refreshing on a hot summer day than a dip in the pool. These are a few of the fresh things that I adore, don’t forget to delight and take notice of the simple things!

cleaning is such a drag

I hate cleaning. I hate the house dirty... so I clean it.

When the kids get up from a nap,I think they try to make it dirty as fast as they can.....like a contest or something. Who wins first place? Cameron or Samantha? Ahhhhhh it's a TIE. Their both so messy, messy! I had to vacuum twice today just because of the cracker crumbs. The kitchen looks pretty good... except for that trash.. just there. TAKE IT OUT honey!

The photo in this layout... I've loved it forever it seems.. in reality it's been 7 years since it was taken, and I love it more now! I've never been able to describe why I love it so, or why it invokes such strong feelings of love.. but I DO, and IT DOES!

Off to watch RV if the darn thing ever finishes burning.... :)

'bout darn time!

It's finally reached Winter temperatures here!!
I'm so dang excited, we actually saw some snow flurries today!!

I want snow before Cameron's first birthday.
See, we have our boxmobile ready... Sam's new sled ;)

Something I created this morning with Hillary H's sketch.

and used MFM's kit for this one.

Journaling reads:
Wow. The year 2007, It doesn’t quite have that *zing* like, “the year 2010”, but that’s just three years away. I’m amazed at how quickly time speeds by. I’m always saying, “Wow, time flies!” This year, I want to take the time to partake of every moment of newness with my children; enjoying their exploration of the world around them. Whatever it is, I want to be there.
To play.
To Laugh.
To have fun……
To be a wonderful mom!
Not only do I want to be a loving nurturer for them, I want to be a caring, respectful, loving wife to Doug. He deserves the best, and I damn well am going to try to be the best mate I can. I may not keep the house spotless, or have dinner “on time”, but my heart will always be yours, Doug….
Til death us do part and ALL OF 2007.
For me my word this year is PLAY! (Inspired by Ali E) I love to play with my scrapbooking, and I plan to do a lot more of it this year. I’ll be trying new mediums, and will incorporate more digital aspects to my work. I think this is a nice start. I love the goofiness and think it fits me perfectly. Here’s to a GREAT YEAR!

Love this song

and hey.. it got rid of fergy ;)

What a fun weekend!!!

and I thought it would be "blah" not a chance babe!
of course we didn't get the tree down.. hahaha
oh well. I'll start working on it today.

We did get Christmas decorations down from the yard on Saturday. It was beautiful here. I'm guessing the weather was at least 68 degrees with a little wind. Perfect for playing outside... so that's just what we did. I got over 400 photos from the day so I have plenty of little tidbits to scrap about.

Stacy came over on Sunday for a lil bit. She gave me a DT gift of Stayz on ink and cleaner. Can't believe she did that, gotta love her ;) Thanks girl!! oh yeah... and I love it!!

Oh, yup... Girl Scout Cookies... want some??
We started selling on Saturday.. think we already have 30 boxes sold... only 220 more to go for Katelyns goal. I'd like to see 500+ again. We did that her first year in girl scouts... the troop got tons of money that year. Two girls, Katelyn & another girl sold over 500.. the troop leaders was wowed. That year she got the 500+ cookie pin.. I want her to earn another one, because we lost the last one :( Makes me want to cry & throw up at the same time when I think about it. I've GOT to motivate Bug so she will sell more ;) Means more work for me too, but she will love having that pin on her vest!

I made it through the next round at Scrappin' With Grace with my last layout. It's getting down to the wire now and I'm nervous!! All the ladies in the competition are nice and have some great talent. I wish them all the best.

If you made it this far (maybe I should have put this at the top?) Mark you calendars! Scrappy Giraffe's first 'OFFICIAL' CYBER crop will be February 17th!! The DT is working on ideas now to make it funfunfun baby!Febraury 17th!!! Don't miss it

celebrate life

Created this layout for #5 challenge @ Scrappin with Grace DT challenge.
I love how it turned out. Have you scrapped with felt yet?
It's a PITA at first dealing with those little 'balls' or whatever you want to call them... but the end result is so rich and pretty.

Weekend blah

We must take the darn tree down. I'm sick of walking past it and it's sitting there all lonely. Besides that, I couldn't get my Angel to sit on the top right this year, so I went out and got a star... never had a star before, and it certainly didn't thrill me like my Dear Darling Gorgeous Angel. blahhhhhhh I'll try something new this year, I must have that Angel up!

After the tree is down, and the garbage is picked up we can play all weekend! YAY! I have a 1 in 48 page due tomorrow @9am. and I still haven't printed my pictures yet!!! I swear, this week has been crazy!! Ever since Cameron took his first step, he's been into everything. It's going to be fun the next few days though because he took 5 steps in a row tonight... gosh, I love it!!

Got a sneak peek the other day of our 1st kit from SGK it's absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to get my pretty little hands on it. It's going to be ROCKIN'!!

I can't get this fergy song out of my head... would help if I took it off my blog, but I just love it. Maybe if I listen to it a coupla more weeks I'll find something different.

Off to print pics... or am i?

Samantha is growing up

makes my heart ache a little. She'll turn two in March. Today she learned how to open the fridge on her own. We told her to get out of there and closed the door. She yelled out, "I want grapes!" clear as day, cracked me up. We told her to say please, so she said, "pwease." We gave her a little bunch of grapes, and she grabbed a bowl from a drawer that use to be child proofed, but got broke a coupla weeks ago and was never fixed. She was so proud to have grapes that she asked for, in a bowl she could get out all on her own.

Going to bed last night, I was rocking Cameron feeding him his bottle. She came in, gave me a kiss, gave one to brother on the top of his head and went to Daddy to pick her up. As he was closing the door she said, "night night", so I said night night. As it was almost closed she said, "I love you!" *sniffle* Ahhhh so sweet!!!! These are the moments you live for! I have always walked out of the childrens' rooms telling them night night, sweet dreams, I love you, as I shut their door. It's just an amazing feeling to have the words said back to you.

Day 2 of the new year

My mom's birthday is in two days and I need to buy her something yet. I have no clue what to get for her. Any suggestions?

I need to clean this dump of a house up and shower.
And I still haven't gone out to buy groceries... may do that this afternoon after Cam's 2nd nap.
Drinking plenty of water, on my 2nd large cup of the day and I'm peeing like crazy!
Time for snacks...

Fergalicious!

Ugh.. love Fergie's song, it may be a little conceited
but damn if the beat isn't right on!! Love it!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Doug and I did things a little differently this year. Instead of playing video games to bring in the New Year we laid in bed and watched episodes of House left on the DVR. I love that show, the balls on Dr. House are HUGE! What a guy! I hurt my knee yesterday jumping for JOY while Bowling on the Wii!!! Love that freakin' game! I'm still feeling it today.
Layout that I created about my goal for the new year. Hidden journaling reads:
I have great plans for my life starting January 1st. I’ve been overweight for over 10 years, morbidly so, and it’s something I think about everyday. I would love to be within my goal weight at the end of 2007. I’m not sure what I have in mind is achievable, but with great dedication, commitment, and support from Doug, I think I can do it.
My 1st mini goal in two months is around 35 pounds. I plan to blossom into a woman that I haven’t seen in years. I feel thin on the inside, but when I look in the mirror, I see a different person, one I have grown to accept over the years. I don’t want to accept her anymore. I want to be the woman I see in my mind. It’s going to be a tough, long year, but I will be someone different on the outside come year’s end! That’s my promise to myself…. A New Year = A New Me!!

I'll be showering and heading to Barnes & Noble this morning to figure out how I'm going to make this change. Doug & Katelyn decided they wanted to start eating healthier too, so no more soda... time to go to Sams and get some water ;)

Hope your New Year is full of promise, love, joy, ambition, and Good Health!
