oooh me so Happy!

Doug had his check up on his nose, it's looking much better and the Dr said he should see an improvement in breathing as soon as the passages unswell from the surgery. He's actually back to helping out around the house and stuff, and I'm not as tired as I have been.

Tried making cupcakes so I could take a picture for a DT call, and totally messed the recipe up by using bread flour. Can we say d'oh!

Here's what I've worked on recently.

I think I'll be posting more tomorrow!!

Doug got a nose job

Nothing cosmetic though, hehe. Poor thing had some work done to help with sinuses and sleep apnea, we're hoping we'll see a big improvement down the road. He's off work til Monday without any responsibility other than making sure he sneezes with his mouth open, no bending over, and not lifting anything heavy. I could handle that ;)

Here's my 2nd scrapjack for July. I'm so not a white space person, so this was really a tough jack for me! You can click it to see the larger image.

Day 4

How cool is this lil challenge?
Not only am I blogging daily, I'm making cards too.
The challenge at Caardvarks today is to make a card with the focus of 4 squares on it.

Papers used: Love, Elsi, Arctic Frog, & Polar Bear Press; Bazzil bling flowers cut in half; and Roxie CS stickers.

On the other hand, I was fighting getting this stomach bug that's been going around, and succeeded, I only had stomach cramping yesterday - Doug, however, is sick as a dog. And to top it off, I got up with the kids today and have only had like 3.5 hours of sleep. It's going to be a long day. Poor D, hope he feels better soon and that the kids don't get this mess again.

Caardvark Day 3

I had never heard of a tri-fold card before.... I looked it up on 2peas and was surprised to see how cute and easy it is to make one. Here's my entry for day 3, quite simple as I've been running around buying groceries, catching stomach viruses, and whining in bed for the last two hours.
the middle section actually lifts up as shown so you write your note there.

I've uploaded these photos, now to figure out what to fix for dinner and to vacuum.
bummer!

Day 2/10

Fun stuff happening at Caardvarks!
Here are my cards for day two.

I have one I'll be putting in the mail this morning.
Love elsie PP, Hambly owl rub ons, M's $1 stamp (thinking of you)
I need to clean up my scrap stuff, grab a shower and get out the door after Cameron wakes up... I need to pay mortgage and get some groceries. Don't know if I wanna do the grocery thing so early in the day... Doug won't be home to help carry stuff in ;)

I've been tagged

by Linda.

Here's the deal:
1-post these rules
2-each person tagged must post 8 random(... hopefully interesting) facts about themselves
3-tags should write a blogpost of these facts
4- at the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named
5-go to their blog and leave a comment telling them they're taggedMoi...

As you wish.. ;)

1. My cell phone is lime green and I think I want a muscle car when I'm older with the same color

2. I ate birthday cake for breakfast this morning... the kids ate it too.

3. I hate fake nails right now. Their way too long and I'm having a hard time typing, and I especially hate when anything gets under the nails.. so hard to get the stuff out!

4. I love when my family goes grocery shopping with me, but hate they play around and goof off in the store. Guess they can't win for losing ;)

5. I'm passing on the hate of DISHES. I always had to do the dishes growing up, and now that my DD is older she does the dishes at least 4 times a week. I hate hate dishes, and I think she will too once she grown! LOL

6. I always say Bless You when someone sneezes, even if I don't know them.

7. I get heartburn after eating meatballs, lemon chicken, & cucumbers... must be because I'm getting older.

8. I love being on a DT, but often think I'm not in the same league with my dt buds.. their work is phenomenal and mine is more, ehhhhhhhh.

Ok, that's my eight. Now to find who I can tag. Ah... I'm too lazy.. guess I broke rule #4!

Happy Birthday to ME!

It has turned out to be one FABuLOUS day!! It's been tight this year $$ wise, but DH really made the dollar stretch. He took me to AC Moore and let me pick out surprise goodies. I saw this Heidi Grace Cherrywood Lane line I really liked, so I got the PP's chipboard, rubons, and ribbon. I used a 40% coupon and bought the AL freestyle stamps. I've been wanting those for awhile.

My mom surprised me and met us up at AC Moore and whisked me away to lunch with her. After lunch she brought me home, and I opened up my gifts from her. She bought me a sewing machine. A Brother.. it has 25 built in stitches. I've threaded the bobbin already and now am working on trying to learn the tention, etc. So fun though, I think I'll be posting my first ever stitched on layout soon!

Doug's going to be fixing me Lemon Chicken for dinner, although I'm still stuffed from lunch, I'm so looking forward to that dinner...

Some photos Katelyn took of Doug and I!

dang pool

I mentioned in another post that sometimes the pool is more trouble than what it's worth... and it's dang expensive too! I just got the water bill $70. CraZy! Well, I did the patch job, and the liner went back in place last week. Last thursday we went to my mom's for dinner and we left the water on in the pool - thank goodness Doug didn't want to go with us and was home. Katelyn remembered we left the water on, so we called Doug to shut it off. It was about 1 1/2 inches from the top of the rail. I go out this morning on the back deck to have a smoke, and notice the pool is noisy, barely enough water covering the return. WTH?!! It has not been hot enough to evaporate that much water. So, we put the water hose back in the pool. Guess we'll be monitoring this today to see if we can find the leak. Ridiculous! It's too early in the season yet to close it, but still, too expensive to keep adding water every 2 days. It's a fast leak wherever it is. *sigh*

On a better note, I've been spending quite a lot of time elsewhere on the net, I just found this place reading Shirley's blog. It's called TallyScrapper. A great community for scrapbookers (aren't they all?) but there's a twist there. I won't tell... click the LINK. :)

I rarely make cards, I'm just not a card maker. I think I need a class or something... LOL
But here is one I made the other day for my friend Stephanie. Her brother is in the hospital, and I've been thinking of him. I can't remember the details of his sickness (think radiation treatments) but not only is he dealing with that... so much more. He likes the GD, at least he used to when he was younger, and I found this wicked cool graphic on the net. So I had to throw it on a card. Now to mail it.. :)
