Woot woot! Fab Friday!

I am so happy it's Friday!
Do you have any special plans this weekend?
I wanted to take a moment and share with you this sweet little card I made using Hedgie Hugg from Tiddly Inks.

If this image does not invoke warm feel good and a smile, I think you need to go back to bed and come see me again in an hour. *grins* I LOVE hedgies, and these two in this picture just makes my heart melt a wee bit.

I printed them out on Copic Xpress It paper, colored them with copics, then created a CAS card! The sentiment is so sweet. This one is for my baby Doug.. I love being scooped into a big embrace by him.

I got you now Day 2 with SOG!

Welcome back friends and happy Tuesday!
PS.. If you are looking for the Clear Scraps & Stampendous blog hop, I posted it earlier HERE. :)

Tag, you're it!! :)
This is my absolute FAVORITE release from Some Odd Girl this week.. don't get me wrong, I adore them all, but these two remind me of my littles, Samantha & Cameron.
Meet Tia & Tobie enjoying some fun in the sun.. nothing goes better than having some Water Fun!

I just had to create a easel card with these two.

Totally adorbs, yes?

The card base was cut using my Cameo, I love the half circles that hold up the top of the card.  Cameron loved this card too, because he selected it to give to his best friend at his birthday party last week.  We ended up stamping Happy Birthday in the middle at the bottom, and we wrote a little note on the inside.

Everyone loved the card and the gift we made.. we customized his birthday bucket with Vinyl and filled it with fun summer toys.

anyways.. check out all the awesome creations on the Odd Girl Blog with Tia & Tobie!!

Big water fun in the sun hugs to you!

Clear Scraps & Stampendous Blog hop!!

Welcome to the Clear Scraps and Stampendous Blog Hop!
Keep checking back at Clear Scraps and Stampendous all week long, as there are a lot of prizes involved, and lots of inspiration too!
I am so happy to have you here visiting my blog! If you came here via Clear Scraps you are in the right spot! If not, I would love for you to check out our hop beginning here.

For my project today I created this sweet little gift bag. It perfect for filling with a small gift or treat for someone special.
I started off by stamping Stampendous Jumbo Tropical stamp to an old sheet of Scenic Route paper. Then, I fed the paper into my Cameo Silhouette to cut out this sweet 3D ribbon box from a Lori Whitlock file.

Once it was all cut out, I pulled out my watercolors and lightly colored in the different areas on the tropical stamp.
Once the paper was dry, I adhered it together and tied it closed using this lovely polka dot ribbon. To create the sentiment on the bag, I stamped To cheer You using Stampendous Friendly Phrases. I also used a Clear Scraps Flower Embellishment that I dyed with sunset orange alcohol ink.
Layer them together and you have a lovely embellished sentiment for your gift bag. The fun doesn't stop here friends, please check out the other fabulous designers from Clear Scraps and Stampendous today!!

Let's get dirty with Mae!

Good morning friends!
I hope your Monday is off to a wonderful one.
I'm SO excited, this week starts off with new digital stamp releases from Some Odd Girl!
Meet Gardening Mae
This little cutie gave me some trouble when I first colored her with my Copics.
Ok.. Ok.. so it really wasn't her fault, she's completely innocent. It was me trying to add E04 into my shading on the skin. She's a little darker than what I am used to coloring so I freaked out. hehe

I love her now though. I only wish I had thought to work her eyebrows a bit more, and add some dirt to her gloves. ;)

Hit up the Odd Girl Blog to see more fabby examples using Gardening Mae!
Do you have a green thumb?
I miss my garden this year. Especially the tomatoes, cukes, and yellow squash.. and zucchini! nom nom nom.. next year for sure.

Check back with me this week.. my blog is gonna be on fire! ;)

Happy Birthday, Cupcake!

Hello friends! I'm up today over on the Clear Scraps blog sharing this super sweet Cupcake Send it Clear acrylic card.

For the cupcake, I traced the edge of the cupcake onto pattern paper, cut it out, then adhered it to the cupcake shape on the card. For the wrapper, I used woodgrain washi tape, and for the cherry on top, I used Martha Stewart micro beads.

I used Beacons 3-n-1 to adhere the beads on the acrylic, then to help seal the beads to the card, I used Glossy Accents. To finish off the front of the card I adhered Doodlebug jewels to create a confetti look.

When you open up the card, you have a lovely space to write the special birthday person a message!

There you have it, a festive, happy birthday card!
Are you ready for a HUGE BLOG HOP next week?  Clear Scraps is pairing up with Stampendous! for a week of amazing inspiration and prizes!
Be sure to drop by next week!

PS.. Next week Some Odd Girl is coming out with new digi releases.. and be sure to hop by the SOG Facebook wall on June 23rd.. seriously, you don't want to miss it!

Make it Pink!

Good day my friends!
It's that time.. another new challenge is up over at Tiddly Inks!
My post title says it ALL..
using a Tiddly Inks image, make sure pink is your dominant color.
Fun, yes?

I used Cupcake Bugg, she is so cute! I also chose to use various shades of RV's in copics to color this up. The only other color I added was an orange and a grey for her hair.
This was pretty challenging for me, but in the end I like it.

Confession time.
I was attempting to learn the out of the box technique and silly as I am, I must learn the hard way each time. Instead of sliding the die back on face down, I did it face up without paying attention.. which led to me ultimately cutting a piece of the cupcake and the bugg wing off. I feel silly, but that's how crafting works for me typically. Me figuring out how to fix things. See below? ;-)
For the card, I photoshopped the lines out so it looks pretty smooth.
In reality, I think the cupcake is going to get the stickle treatment, and the wing may house a new twine bow or button. ;)

Now, don't forget to join us with some Pink over at Tiddly Inks!!
PS.. Christy has a new image out today too. :) :) :)
I'll share my take on the new image tomorrow!

Congrats, it's Friday!

Wow, where did the week go?
The kids have been out of school officially 9 days now. My numbers guy, Cameron has been keeping track.

It's inspiration Friday over on the Tiddly Inks challenge blog... go check out the wonderful talent that makes up the DT.. bet your color engines will be fired up afterwards. Notice how I got that Mario Kart slang-ology in there?

Today I have Annie's Diploma to share with you. I printed her out on Copic XPress it Paper and colored her with my Copic Markers.
Totally cute, right?
Her little polka dot dress and tassel drew me in! She's perfect for the graduate in your life!
There is shading on the white bits, its just a little hard to see on the screen.

I gotta run, I have fraudulent bank charges to deal with. (le sigh)
Imma have a Happy Friday anyways. *grin*

PS. What are you making for Father's Day? I would love to see!!
PPS. We still have a Father's Day/Masculine challenge going on at Tiddly Inks.

Insta-happiness, it comes tabbed!!

Wiiii!
That's what I have been doing this week, playing lots of Wii Mario Kart in the evenings with the family. Sleeping in til 9-ish. Ahhhh, Summer!

I am up on Clear Scraps blog today showing my Instagram photos from April. What a fast and easy way to preserve those quick peeks into life!
You can see more of my instagram photos here (my username is darlnleah on instagram)

Most of the photos were printed out 2x2 in size. I used Cammy the Cameo for lots of the cover die cuts and the doilies within the album pages. I am all out of mini album rings (What do you call those anyway, I need to buy more?!) so I bound the book with ribbon.

Check back tomorrow, it's Fan Friday with Tiddly Inks! :)
PS... Have you checked out all the new SOGGY images released this week?

I'm off to rev up my engine in Mario Kart, wish me luck! ;)
