Spring is in the air

Wheeeeee.. our first day of summer vacation and I got to sleep in.
It was most lovely. :)

I'm sharing today my Spring Mixables album from Clear Scraps.
It's a mix of Acrylic and Chipboard with pages designed with Spring in mind.
Cute right?
Here's my cover. I started off by stamping flourishes in Cactus and Jet Black Stazon Ink in the front side. I then added my photo, used some alcohol ink to add some color to the acrylic, and loaded up on flowers and viva decor pearls.

Turn the page. You can see I covered up my photo with a bit of Hambly, and cut out this cute design from pattern paper. I added some flowers, bling, and was ready to move on.

Now we have our chipboard page. I left the center flower at the top open so you could see through to the next page. On the bottom, I adhered my photo to backside of the chipboard, added flowers and some bling, inked the edges, and viola a pretty page complete.

On the backside, I covered up the photo showing in the front with another photo. :)

This acrylic page is in the shape of a flower stalk, well, it reminds me of that. I outlined the edge in viva decor pearls on the front. On the back I added alcohol ink in lettuce, then stamped on the front with stazon. I adhered my photo to pattern paper, stamped on the pattern paper side, then adhered that to the acrylic page.

It helps to plan ahead a little while designing your album, especially working with acrylic. The butterflies and ribbon are helping hide the Beacons 3-in-1 glue I used on the front side.

Another chipboard page, it's a very sturdy chipboard, I love the mixable albums!

I have learned that when I hang things like photos or embellishments off of the album, I adhered pattern paper to the backside so the stark white is not glaring at you when you look at the album. :)

The last page. I had fun with this oversized doily by tapping a mix of red and orange alcohol inks on here. I also outlined this page with my viva decor pen, and alcohol inked the backside in different spots.
