She's growing too fast...

and I have to say it’s bittersweet. My baby is growing up, spreading her wings and learning how to stand UP! We were playing this morning with her little
Playskool thingy (I don’t know the name of it) when she started pulling up on it.

She pulled herself up to her knees and gave me the biggest cutest little “LOOK at me grin!”

She’s 8 months old now and the happiest baby. She fell down once trying to pull herself up all the way, and didn’t even cry. I helped her sit back up and she gave me a smile and started trying again!

“Look ohmmy I did it!”

Oh and she started calling me Ohmmy the other day. She was sleepy and started crawling over to me (combat crawling… no hands and knees yet) and said, “ohmmmy mmmm.” How sweet is that?

Enough to make my heart melt!

Motherhood is such a blessing! I messaged Doug and showed him the pictures.

He was sad he missed it. When Samantha was born he was doing contract work from home and was able to see all her little firsts. Now he feels left out, and it kind of breaks my heart. He’s always felt a little closer to Samantha since she was born because of this. When Katelyn was born, he had to work and after work hours, well let’s just say he was big into Gaming then.

I hope he realizes how unique both girls are, and treats them equally. Actually, I hope he lets up some on Katelyn. He’s always been a little tough on her. I’m not sure if it had to do with his upbringing or what, but he is getting better. (I love you honey)

Only 9 more years and my sweet Katelyn will be graduating. It seems like its right around the corner and I tear up thinking about it. My heart is full today and I am very fortunate to have such a loving family. I better go before I get really mushy.

On top of it!

Yep. I am on top of things today.

I start out this morning by washing my face and putting in my contacts. Feel like it's going to be a good day already. I made my to-do list and am going to knock off at least 5 things off of it. Already have one crossed off (start roast for dinner in crockpot) and I am going to try the Flylady challenge from twopeas. I have my list printed and am ready to go!

First things first, the bathroom :(
It needs to be done, so I will do it. Besides, the guest bathroom can not be used because we have to put in a new wax seal so the toilet doesn't leak. I invited my mom and step dad to dinner tonight, so the bedroom and bathroom has got to be cleaned. (Why am I still sitting here?)

I was looking through pictures this morning while I was waiting on my list to print, and found a cute one of Samantha from a couple weeks ago.

She loves getting into little places where she doesn't belong, especially near my computer desk and daddies. Doug turned around and had to get our little culprit away from his dvd media. Too funny! The dvd must not taste to bad.

Samantha is napping right now, I can't believe she is actually napping. In the morning I am lucky if she will sleep 30 minutes... it's been 55 minutes so far! I better get out of here before she wakes up. I have dishes to do and a floor to vacuum, plus all the other stuff I didn't list here.

I love brownies

This morning Sam woke me up around 5:15 with the sounds of her thumb sucking and that little whine of hers. I stumble into the kitchen to make a bottle, then grab her and go lie in bed. She ate about two ounces and decided it was time to play. No, mama doesn’t wanna play… mama wants to sleep. She finally settles down and sneaks in 45 more minutes of sleep. She will be still no longer, so we get up and go play.

Katelyn gets up and says we should make bacon and eggs for breakfast. I think that sounds great, so we make it up. Bacon, eggs, English muffins and orange juice... YUM!

Then the day begins. WORK.
Doug put up an attic ladder last weekend, so he calls up my step dad to come over and help us haul some half inch plywood. He laid the plywood down and just has to screw it in so we can use that for holiday storage. He had to move the light for the hallway as well, so we finished that up.

Now, we get to put my pantry in the garage and tear down shelves to make it work. Poor Doug, he was so proud of those shelves last year. He has new air tools though, so I don’t think he will mind rebuilding them. I’ve been playing the grocery game for 4 weeks now, and loving it. We are stocking up nicely on canned goods, toiletries, and saving a ton of money while doing it, therefore, the need for my pantry in the shop.

At the end of the day, nothing makes you feel better than some comfort food, and my choice of the day is brownies. I made a double batch and their in the oven now. We are going to get some chinese take out and eat brownies in a little bit… I can’t wait!

I love brownies!!!!

Why Blog?

I don't know why I am here.
Bored? Yes.
Lonely? Some days...

I have been hanging out at 2peas for a few months now
and everyone has links to their blogs in their sigline.
So it makes me wonder, do I need one too?

Probably not.

To me and most anyone who may be looking in, I lead a pretty
boring life. I have no friends IRL other than family. I don't
go out and party. I don't eat in restaurants with cool people.
I don't go to Starbucks and read leisurely. I don't go on vacation, or
take pictures of cool places.

I do have a wonderful family that I am proud of.
I'm a wife, mother of 2 (almost three come February) and I try
to keep this house clean. I am so not the picture perfect home maker.
I would love to use Flylady's system without feeling overwhelmed.

I bet my husband would wish that as well.
He's a good guy though and puts up with a lot. He even helps with the
laundry.

I'm not sure where this will go, or even if I will like looking back to see
where I have been, but I am taking up space IRL, so why not here as well?
