New Tuesday releases with SOG!

Good morning friends.. been a heckuva long week last week, and this week isn't looking much better... hubs and I were both sick yesterday, thankfully we are perking back up today. It's rainy here today, which seems like a wonderful day to show you the newest digital release from Some Odd Girl!
There is a new background file (I did not use it)
a new card base pop up cut file (sea shell)
and a new mermaid.. :)

Meet Sea Song Mae... this was so much fun to color!

When you open up the seashell, this sentiment pops out atcha.. but if course, you could add anything your heart desires.. check out what the girls did on the NING site here.
and here's a close up of Sea Song Mae
I'm still not sure about that lipstick choice.. hehe ;)

Oh, and if you didn't check yet, go see the new clear stamp releases on the SOG Blog.. amazing, and I need them all!!

New digital goodies with SOG!

Good morning world! It's with great excitement I share with you Some Odd Girl's new release items this week! We have 3 new digital stamps and 1 new cut file, which is another cool card base!! Let's get to it. :)

The Card base is this fantastic circular design Kristy created, and I cut out using my Cameo Silhouette. I used the card base for two of the new digital stamps!

Is she not the sweetest little thing? My hubby felt bad for her while I was coloring her... surprising how she wrapped herself around his little finger.. ;)  When you open up the card base...
The sentiment How are you doing is from the Clear Stamp set Everyday Smiles, and fits perfectly along the little banner running across the front of the card.

The next card, Pouty Tobie is using the same card design and sentiment.

On this card, I wrapped some washi tape all around the edge of the card to add a little bit of character to it.. I love it!
Open it up to see all off Tobie
Adorbs!! All these were colored with my copic markers.
Lastly, we have Sneaky Boy Tobie
I tried to create this toolbox using my Cameo Silhouette, it didn't come out exactly as I had imagined, but I thought Sneaky Boy Tobie would be cute resting on it... :)
Here's a closer look at Tobie.

That's it my friends.. head on over to the blog to check out all the other SOG Oddies creations with this fantastically awesome release!!

Ready for summer!!

Good morning my friends! I wanted to take a minute and thank you for continuing to stop by and keep up with me, even though I've not had the time in ages to return the favor. On top of an already busy schedule, Doug, Katelyn, Samantha, Cameron, and I enrolled in American Freestyle Karate class. We all got our Ghi's and white belts last thursday.
It's fun to do this as a family, and by the end of the class, we're all sweaty and ready to drink a gallon of water all by ourselves! I've been sore as heck, but I'm so proud of all of us for taking this adventure together, and I can't wait to see where it leads us.

On to the crafty post.. Some Odd Girl has Snorkel Tobie up as the featured digital stamp this month.. just soooo cute! He'll be marked down so it's the perfect time to scoop him up for some fun in the sun!
I tried to give the poor boy a sunburn, I'm itching to spread some aloe on him so he's not in pain... :) I thought he was perfect for a pool party invitation and cut this design on my Cameo Silhouette.
I'll be back here tomorrow to share the newest digital tuesday releases from SOG, and back on Wednesday to share 3 of my creations using the June Creating Made Easy kit from Clear Scraps... it's delicious and features papers from Carta Bella Well Traveled collection!

Digital release Tuesday at SOG!

Good morning world!
I just got home from picking Katelyn up from her last day of school.. she is officially a Junior now!!!! ;)  Time is zoooming by!

Did you know that Some Odd Girl now has Backgrounds??
OH YEAH!
and cut files
and some new digi's released today too..

The cut file is a super cool star card base
the background is called mancave
and the digital stamp I worked with is piggy back ride, but there is also the super cute nerdy panda! The sentiment is from the Everyday Smiles clear stamp.

I cut the card base using my trusty Cameo Silhouette, I merged the digital stamps (mancave and piggy back ride) together using Photoshop, then colored using my Copic markers.
I think I am going to pull that sentiment off and use it as one of Doug's Father's Day cards from Cameron.. we'll see. ;)

I LOVE all the new things Some Odd Girl is coming out with!!
Don't forget to check out the blog for cool tutorials this week on how to incorporate your stamps into your scrapbooking!!

Happy June first

Happy June 1st my friends!
I hope your weekend is most fabulous, ours usually involve lots of outdoor work and errands we put off through the week... I'm hoping we can get our pool open this weekend if hubs is feeling better. His tummy is upset this morning.
Ok.. on to fun stuff!

As you know, Some Odd Girl has a new sketch challenge, and this sketch just makes me happy.. I love it!
Squee.. isn't it adorbs?
Here's my version..
I inked up my sweet Love Me Not Mae stamp and colored her with my copic markers.
I played with the V20's for her hair.. I kinda like it!
We are trying to get up to 50 players (or more!!) this month, and the prize is always fabulous!! Check out the other Odd Girls creations, and go link up yours HERE.

In other family news, Cameron was able to march in a parade with other kids from 4 other schools that read every night over a period of six weeks, and he earned a free ticket to the local Baseball field.. so we bought tickets so we could go watch the Salem Red Sox duke it out with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. Here are a few pics from the night.. and if you're friends with me on Facebook, you'll see them later. ;)

Here are all the kids lined up.. Cameron is in the back somewhere.
And here Cameron is as they walked around the field closer to the seats we were in.. Katelyn took all the pics because I wasn't able to go last night.. Cameron is wearing the blue/yellow shirt with the #5 on it. :)

And they even got to see someone getting proposed to on the field.. so sweet.. and she said YES! :)

That's it for me today.. I'll be back.. promise. :)
