Mini Shaker Heart

This adorable mini shaker heart from Clear Scraps is so much fun!

I painted the chipboard pieces with some acrylic paint. Once they were dry I stacked them all up and glued them, added some beads and embellished it a little.

For my hearts day hop, I couldn't resist coloring up Swoon Dakota! If you know me, I LOVE to swoon over all kinds of things sweet, including my hubby who will be receiving this cutie.
Be sure to check in and comment on each blog, including this one, to be the most eligible!
Since we’re spreading the love so hardcore, everyone gets 14% off at the Some Odd Girl shop using code SOGLove!

That's not all, we'll also be choosing 2 lucky winners from those of you who comment on every blog, each receiving a $14 spending spree in our shop.
Here’s our hop list...
Go forth and have a beautiful weekend!!

Heart Printer Tray

Oh my goodness, have you guys seen the new Printer Tray Frames from Clear Scraps?
If not, you're in for a real treat! They remind me of shadow boxes and shakers combined into one... the best of both worlds, in my opinion.

Today, I'm sharing my take on the Heart Printer Tray Frame.

I found some of my favorite photos of the family from the last few months and added them to the chipboard backing piece. I took the top layer and adhered pattern paper and cut it out with my craft knife. I really wanted the photos to shine in this beauty. The cool thing about these is that you can create them to hang as home decor pieces.

See the cute little stamped hearts? Swoon. I love being able to add stamping on the acrylic top piece.

I also added some flocking and mini beads beneath the title on the bottom.
After I adhered it all together, I painted the edges (not shown here) of the heart to seal it even better. The flocking was so tiny it was finding ways to escape the heart.
I nipped that right in the bud. hehe

Thanks for checking in with me today. Check back on Friday for a super fun hop!!

Coffee? Yes, please!!!

Happy Happy Friday!!
I am so excited because it is my first Design Team post over on the Some Odd Girl blog today!

You know me.. I love my coffee.
So I couldn't resist making my first post and card with Coffee Lover Mae.

Gahhh! Isn't she so cute?

I colored her with my prismacolor pencils. I like this skin combination so much better than my last try at a digi coloring.
I'm not too happy with my hair colors. Basically because I added in too much tuscan red. Whoops. Live and learn. :)
Here's the inside. A pretty simple card. I really wanted the focus to stay on Mae AND the coffee. *grins*
Here's a quick list of my pencils I chose to use for the coloring. you can click on the picture to see the numbers closer. I am being SUPER lazy. Forgive me? hehe

Fail. I didn't photograph the hair combo. haha See. Must be because I didn't like the color. lol

I'm happy I'm working with Some Odd Girl again. I've missed it more than I realized!
Have a beautiful weekend, friends.
XOXO

Happy HEARTS month!

💝💘💜💓💑💚💙😍♡🖤💟

Ahhh, Happy February my friends!!
One of my favorite months, not really because of Valentines day, but more about the HEART aspect.
Ok. who am I kidding? I love hearts all year round. :)

That's why I am excited to share this new heart layer stencil with you, it's quite cool!

For this card, I used my colored pencils to color in the stencil area on the pattern paper.
Once I filled in all the hearts, I then moved the stencil and added the second layer dots to three of the hearts. Shhh, but I didn't line them up so well. *grins*

For the inside, I colored a gorgeous flourish chipboard heart embellishment and smacked it right dab in the middle of the card. My honey will probably be getting this cutie.

I hope the start of the new month leaves you HAPPY and full of LOVE.
XOXO
Leah
