New Daisies Acrylic Layout

Clear Scraps came out with some amazing new 12x12 layouts this year.
 ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป๐Ÿ˜ป
seriously. I LOVE them!

On this layout, Samantha and my granddaughter Reagan were playing with some Snapchat filters. We are really into the snappy filters here. :)

Alcohol ink and these cuties go together like bread and butter!

I used two colors of alcohol ink.
My absolute favorite part is being able to see the background through the acrylic.

One more close up..

What do you think? Cool or nah?
I say YES to cool. ๐Ÿ˜

Have a wonderful day my friends!

January Tag

My word of the year is HAPPY.
So I thought it would be a great first tag of the year to make it reflect my ones little word.
I am using a clear scraps tag from the acrylic tag album, a acrylic flourish embellishment, and the new Heart layer stencil on the base of the tag.

Isn't it sooo cute?
Choose to be happy my friends, I know I am this year!!

Mini Shaker rattle bear card

We have NEW layer stencils.
Check it out.

Cute right?
And also, mini shakers!!
These are AMAZING!!

I had to combine them and turn them into a adorable baby card.
I used alcohol ink on the layer stencil to create these adorable teddy bears. I inked them up on a spare acrylic sheet from Clear Scraps.
I had created a video of me putting this together but it got lost when I switched phones. A big derp moment. hehe

Thanks for popping in!
XOXO

Printer Tray Frame

Eeps. I'm telling you, Clear Scraps has SO many new items this year that are incredible to create with. The release is the bomb. New this year are Clear Scraps printer trays.

This one is the rectangle/square tray.

This is of my grandsons 1st birthday. Notice how I placed sequins inside the individual squares in a couple places. It's SO much fun!

I layered embellishments beneath the acrylic sealer, and on top as well.
It creates such great dimension.

I also stamped on the acrylic. SO easy, so fun!

Look at how many opportunities you have for special ephemera, photos, etc.
I added sequins in two spots on this layout.

As well as adding in some stamping onto the acrylic protector. AND.. I made this to hang. SO fun to be able to put this on display.

Acrylic Keepsake Tray

I was up on the Clear scraps blog yesterday sharing one of the amazing acrylic boxes that Clear Scraps offers. This one is the Acrylic Keepsake Tray Box. Once hubby saw this on my desk this morning, he quickly exclaimed he needs some for his desk. So, they will make great gifts for any time of the year, and for most anyone on your hard to buy for list.

I apologize for my poor picture quality, I just switched to a new laptop and haven't had a chance to install all my programs yet.

To start building this, which is super easy, peel off all the protect film from both sides of the acrylic.
I then cut pattern papers slightly less than the dimensions of the box. I adhered the pattern papers on the outside walls to hide the glue, and made sure to use double sided paper so there would be a design facing inside the box as well.

I then laid out the pieces as they would be adhered together, ready to go.

If you look closely  you can see little notches protruding out further so they will fit into the holes on the base. When I used my Beacons 3-in-1 glue, I placed a thin bead of glue along the bottom line of the walls, avoiding the protruding notches. I did this to create more stability. The first two walls are the hardest, but after you have them all in, it stands up well. Then,  you will add the adhesive circles to the outside walls that come included with the box, which makes it extra sturdy.

Just place two circles on each adjoining wall at the top and bottom like above, and you are good to go. I let this dry and set for an hour or so before moving on. Grab a drink, watch a show, then come back to it. :)

Now I just added a few small embellishments and I now am the proud owner of a new Alcohol Ink storage tray. I use these so often, I have decided to leave them out on my desk.
