Featured Digi from Some Odd Girl

Whoa, two weeks fly by when you're having fun.. or in my case, working like a mad woman with getting her house in shape. ;)

IN FUN news, a new featured digi is up for grabs from Some Odd Girl for 25% off in the store, it's the sweet set toasted and toastie!

I happen to love toast with strawberry jam on it, and I tried to show that on the one piece of toast that I colored with my copic markers. I'm sure there are a ton of other cute punny sayings you could use for these cuties!

Check out what a couple other uber fabulous odd girls made with this adorbs set here on the SOG Blog.

I think toasted and toastie would make a nice addition to your digital stamp collection! :)

Clear Scraps Easter album

Wheeeeee you ready for the extra long weekend?
I know I am. Taking a break to go to my cousins BBQ tomorrow, then the rest of the weekend will be filled with work. We're still cleaning here, and we're enjoying the fruits of our labor. :)

I'm going to make this a quick post.. full of photos.
I took the fabulous All Mixed Up acrylic album from Clear Scraps and dry embossed the edges in my Big Shot, then I applied Stazon ink to the raised embossed edges, and backed with pattern paper. Totally fun album!

I love how you can emboss, add alcohol ink, and layer the acrylic over something else and still have it completely see through.
 Isn't the alcohol ink gorgeous?
We did not drink the egg dye.. but we had fun pretending too. :)

There you have it, my super fun Clear Scraps Easter Album!

I am linking up to the Paper Issues linky party HERE. :)

I hope you gained a little scrappy inspiration, and I hope your weekend is filled with happiness!!

Speedy coloring video

Good morning!
I'm in for a long day of miscellaneous household chores today. I think I'll be flying back n forth between a deep clean in the master bath and shampooing carpets in the front of the house.  I'll provide free coffee for help! ;-)

This past Saturday, Some Odd Girl had a facebook fan appreciation day. It was so much fun, I met so many new friends and had a blast chatting. I also got to share my first speed coloring video. My first video.. oh boy, there were a lot of speed bumps! I like that the video is relatively short in length, but wonder is 800 fast forward speed too fast? Should I slow it down to 400 or leave it at 800? Hmm, guess I will figure it out if I make more vids!

Now, I was suppose to share my newest Clear Scraps album yesterday, but I will get that up here tomorrow. If you wanna take a quick peek at it, it's up on the Clear Scraps blog here.

Hope your Wednesday is full of awesome sauce!!

Tiddly Inks Tuesday

Good morning my friends!

How was your weekend?
Mine was filled with lots of overdue Spring Cleaning. When I say overdue, I mean like the really deep cleaning I had been letting slide for oh too long!
My house is looking fantastic for all our efforts, and I'm beginning to learn that procrastination is not a good thing. lol

On to FUN stuff!
We have a new challenge up over at Tiddly Inks! It is a fun flower challenge!
It's super easy, and you just have to check out what the phenomenal TI DT created for this challenge! We're celebrating flowers!!

For my card I used the lovely Wryn Spring Bling.
The pattern paper is from Simple Stories, the Summer Fresh line.
The Card base & flower was cut using my Cameo.

Copics Used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, V20, R11, R21
Hair: E17, E18, E19, E27
Clothes: RV21, RV23, RV25
Background: B0000, B000, B00, G0000, G000, G00, G12, G02, Y0000, Y000, Y00

So, while I was coloring this adorable Wryn, I went to color in her cheeks, and seriously messed up on the left cheek. I didn't want to start over again, so I turned her little cheeks into a rough heart shape.. I was pretty thrilled with the save! ;)

Oooooh and Christy created some lovely new images!!
You gotta go check them out on her blog!
Oh.. ok, you twisted my arm.. I'll show you a peek. :)

This is Wryn Beach Babe.

Cute, right?

Check back with me tomorrow.. I have a speed coloring video I'd like to share with you... and you are in for a treat.. Melissa from Melissa Made has a speed coloring video up on the Tiddly Challenge blog today too!

Fun filled Friday

Ahhh.. So thankful today is Friday! It has been a busy week with SOL's and other activities rocking the Crowe household. It doesn't stop because it's Friday, but I'm thankful I will have Doug by my side working together. I wanted to stop and say thank you for all the prayers that I asked for. It did help with our decision, so Thank you!! (and I will talk more about that in the future.)

Today, I am up over on the Clear Scraps blog featuring some rockin' cool Clear Scraps products on a layout.  I will share a few shots of that layout here, but would love if you could take a moment to comment over there. :)
Clear Scraps Expressions + Washi Tape = oooohlalala!
PS. Everywhere you see white is actually crystal clear.

Hamburger is the sweetest thing.. he keeps getting sweeter the older he gets.

Today over on the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog we have Fabulous Friday.. the gals are showing some gorgeous cards for your weekend inspiration! Go check them out!

And, don't forget about Facebook FanDay FUNDAY Appreciation Saturday with Some Odd Girl on Facebook tomorrow!!

I gotta skedaddle, Katelyn didn't have an SOL this morning, so I get to drive her to school by 10:15am.. I gotta get ready. ;-)  Hope your weekend is awesome!!

Happy Mothers Day!

Here's wishing a Happy Mother's Day to all my friends out there!
My day has been blissfully spent in bed sipping coffee, being served breakfast and homemade cards. Those are the best!!!
I asked Katelyn to draw me a mother's day digital stamp for me to color. She's quite talented when it comes to drawing Pokemon and animals... she was really nervous about my request, but I couldn't be more delighted to show you what she's made for me.
This really captures my children right now at their ages.
Once in awhile, they'll treat each other so sweetly, spend time together quietly not fighting, and it's so magical to watch them interact with one another. I think this is one I will print larger and frame. *sniff sniff*

And, here's one Katelyn drew just of herself for me. <3
Not bad for her first time making people huh?
I hope she keeps practicing.. I could have my own little digi maker in house. :)

I hope your day is filled with happiness!

FUNtastic Friday

So, you remember that Some Odd Girl is going to CHA this summer, right?
Well, if you forgot, I am reminding you now. ;)
Not only that, but I am one lucky girl, because I've been elbow deep in copic markers and Some Odd Girl stamps. So deep in fact I ran my E33 dry.. *eeks*

I am beyond blessed to work with these stamps, and you will go GAGA over them once the reveal comes this summer.

Remember mushroom fairy?
I'm grinning from ear to ear, because my card was selected for Designed to Color's FANtastic Friday Feature! There are other fabulous cards up there if you're looking for inspiration.. go check them out!!

Now, my husband and I are in need of prayers. We are ok, we just have a very difficult decision to pray on, and if you're the praying kind, could you please include us in your prayers? It would be a family changer... this is really a tough decision.

Hugs and hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Clear Scraps Acrylic Card

Brrrr it's chilly here this morning in Virginia, and I'm feeling like I want to go snuggled back under the blankets for a bit in bed. For now, I would like to share with you this gorgeous Send It Clear card I created for Clear Scraps yesterday.

There is a fun technique involved, you can check out the instructions on the Clear Scraps blog. The butterfly on the front panel is actually a file I cut using my Cameo. (4x6_lace_butterflyjourney_life_card_C01424_19547)

I placed pop dots on the backside of the butterfly, then cut it in half.

Here's the card open and here's a close up of the sentiment

This card was so quick and easy to put together. Have you worked with Clear Scraps acrylic before? If so, leave me a link on the Clear Scraps facebook wall, I would love to see what you've been creating!

Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Mushroom Fairy!

Woohoo it's Wednesday which means it's halfway to the weekend!
I've been so happy to show you the newest fairies this week from Some Odd Girl.
Ready to meet the last little lady from the new release?

Since I've been using Copic Markers (it will be a year come July) I normally would only keep the light source coming from the top left or right. This time, I experimented with a different direction, and I have to say, I really like how it came out.

Depending on where your light source is coming from can really change how your colored image comes out. I will have to experiment a little more often. :)

Copics used - Skin: YR0000, YR000, YR00, YR01, R11, R21
Mushroom: R35, R37, R59, YG61, YG63, YG67
Hair: BG34, BG23, BG15, BG10 - Eyes: BV000, BV11, BV13, BV17
Clothes: YG61, YG63, YG67 - Wings: Y0000, Y000, Y00, Y02, YR82
Cardstock: Copic Xpress It, Kraft
Pattern Paper: Basic Grey
Embellies: My Minds Eye, Basic Grey
Ink: Maya Road, Ranger
I adore her mushroom hat and ears... too bad they wouldn't look good on me. ;)
I hope you've enjoyed seeing the new fae from this week! They were a dream to color!
Stop by the Some Odd Girl blog to see the other DT creations, answer a question with Leah the Orange.. or hop by and join in on the Monthly challenge!

Spotlight Friday is quickly approaching too, think about linking up your ODDie creations on the SOG Facebook wall so we can ooh and ahh over them! :)

I'll see you back here tomorrow to share a Clear Scraps send it clear card creation with you.  Have a great day!!
