Pet's rule!

Happy, rainy Sunday!
It's raining here at least. I heard there was a chance for snow tomorrow. Really?

I've been making some changes to the blog... thanks to Design House Digital for the use of their free digital kit by Audrey Neal called Good things. And thanks also to The CoffeeShop Blog for the frame used in my header.

Today I wanted to share with you a sweet Clear Scraps bone album I decorated and shared on the Clear Scraps blog last week.

I chose papers from Bella Blvd called Tail Waggers & Cat Naps that you will see throughout the album featuring my pug, Ooxie.

On all the acrylic pages, I ran it through my Big Shot and added a Dot Matrix texture. I love all the embossed dots throughout. On the raised embossed side of the dots, I used Stazon Ink to apply color.

Before I adhered the photos to the album, any that I knew would hang over the edge, I first adhered to pattern paper. That way the stark white wouldn't be seen. I do the same thing with stickers.
You could say this pug is spoiled. :)
and humiliated on occasion!
If Samantha had her way, the pug would be made to stay with her 24/7.
This album came together pretty quickly, and I got to use larger photo's, which is a win in my book!

Thanks for stopping in with me today. I'm ready to go watch a movie in bed and color!
Happy Sunday!

If not, please consider joining us at TallyScrapper!
We always host super fabulous challenges to jumpstart your creativity.. but this weekend is special.. you don't wanna miss it!!
Lots of prize packs to be won.
lots of challenges.
games.
inspiration.
Awesome peeps!
Save the date!!

Now, on to some cuteness I forgot to share last week using Clear Scraps 12x12 acrylic sheet and a shadowbox file from Lori Whitlock.
I created the shadowbox with cardstock and pattern paper from Pink Paislee using Indigo Bleu. Once I create the shadowbox, I adhered it to the acrylic sheet that I had already masked off using alcohol inks and stencils.

This is funky, fun, and totally in style with my teens love right now.
This is hanging in her room to house some of her special Pokemon figurines she wants to show off. Plus, it has birds and music on there, both of which she adores.

I can't believe how sturdy the shadowbox is on it's own, but it just feels that much more sturdy adhered to the acrylic sheet.

I couldn't help but to also decorate and hang this fabulous Clear Scraps birdcage embellishment within the shadowbox.

Tomorrow afternoon I send my oldest off for 5 days to Orlando, Fl. with her bandmates. I'm excited and nervous.. she's never been so far from me before, and for so long.
eeps. Must craft to stay calm.
:)
hugs my friends,

Play that funky music

Good morning, I hope your weekend was a great one!!

Today I have a super sweet little guy that will make you swoon. He is also the special featured digi at Some Odd Girl, which means you save 25% off if you purchase him in the next two weeks!!
I colored Guitar Kody a couple of months ago, so I see some changes I would make now vs when I colored him back then. It's amazing if you keep practicing how you will see improvements, even in short spans of time.
I could get lost in his eyes. ;-)

I printed him out on Copics Xpress it paper and colored him with Copics.
I still need to get better at writing down which colors I use when I color.
It's a work in progress. I can tell you that I used pattern papers by Echo Park and My Minds Eye, and some Jenni Bowlin Flag Banners.

Don't miss your chance to get this handsome little guy and check out other fab examples of how to use Guitar Kody here.

Frame the Moment

Good morning friends and happy Thursday!!

tiddly inks

I am so excited to share with you today that I am a special guest for Tiddly Inks 2 year celebration with the theme, Frame the Moment! When Christy asked I was pleasantly surprised and super excited, it was with great pleasure I said yes!

I was browsing the Tiddly Inks store and ran across this cutie called Tree Hugger.
It instantly took me back to almost two years ago in the park where my little Samantha was caught in the moment of loving on a tree, much like this digital stamp, and I knew I had to work with it!

Here's what I came up with.
See the resemblance? It's like Christy drew this image with my photograph in mind.
I colored her in copics and created this beveled frame from Lori Whitlock in the Silhouette online Store.

Here's a side view, and it even stands up all on it's own.

I realize the decoration was pretty sparse, but I honestly couldn't think of anything cuter than my Samantha framed in this paper bevel frame (which is quite sturdy) alongside that wonderful Tiddly Inks digi.

Here it is on my mantle above the fireplace.. I think I will create two more of these with my other children in mind using different digital stamps from Tiddly Inks.

It would be great if you headed over to the challenge blog to take part in all the specials going on.. join a challenge, say hi..
Thanks for always being great!!

April Digi Release - Final Day

Good morning friends!
How have you liked the new digital stamps released from SOG this week?
Today, we have two new Kaylee's to show you!
Ready?

Aren't they darling??

I only colored up Tweet Kaylee, make sure you stop by the SOG blog to see more examples of the Kaylees all colored up beautifully.. and, there is probably a great question to answer today as well.. so make sure to get on over there. :)

Isn't she sweet as can be with that little bird perched atop her finger?
She kind of reminds me of a modern day Snow White.
I used papers from Pink Paislee's She Art line for this card.

I have to attend to the littles.. these allergies are whooping all of us here and I'm so ready for them to go away! (the allergies, NOT the littles.. lol)

I am linking this card up to the new Oozak anything goes challenge.
Hope your day is fab!

April digi release!

I am so excited to show you what Kristy has whipped up for our April digi release at Some Odd Girl, are you ready to take a peek?!!
Check it.
The Little loves!

I ADORE these two cuties!!
Because of time constraints, I chose only to color little Loves Tia on the left... but I am sooo going to buy Little Loves Tobie when I get the chance.
They remind me of my children Samantha and Cameron, which I affectionately have always called 'my littles', since they're so much younger than Katelyn. :)
How sweet would this be to put in your sweet littles lunch box?
Or.. as a Mother's Day card to your mom?
Simply darling!
Copics Used
Clothes: (mama) G12, G14, G16, BG000, BG01, BG05 - (tia) Y02, Y06, Y08, V20, V25
Skin: (mama) E50, E51, E53, R11 - (tia) same
Hair: (mama) E35, E17, E37, E59 - (tia) oops.. forgot to write it down
Shoes: T5, T6, T7
You will definitely want to go check out the Some Odd Girl Blog to see the all the other 'little loves' colored up AND, be sure to comment on the blog. I have it on good authority that one of these cuties will be given away! ;)

Speaking of littles.. my little Samantha has been sick so I'm off to go snuggle with her.
Check back tomorrow for another fabulous new April digi release coming your way!
Big hugs,

Good Friday!!

Good Friday to you my friends!
Today is the first day of our Spring break, so I happily got to sleep in until around 9.
I did wake up at 5:55 though.. funny because I normally wake around 6 to get the kids off to school. If I wake up again tomorrow like that, I'm staying up. ;)

I have so much to do before Easter gets here!!
We are soooo very last minute on things this year, and it just makes that much more work for me.  Couldn't be helped though!  As soon as I finish writing this I'm hopping in the shower, making a shopping list, and hitting the stores.

I am in the process of working on some things for Clear Scraps right now, so I do not have anything crafty to share today, just my photo a day for April.

4. Someone who makes you happy
my middle child Samantha!
She's such a sweetheart!

5. tiny
So when I snapped this one yesterday, I had like 40 photos sized 2.5 x 3 on my desk, and this one set of smaller photos on a 4x6 sheet.
I got to thinking after I took it.. we have so many Squinkies in this house!!
I could have had my pick over which ones to photograph.. aw well.. ;)

Gah, I need to hurry! I still have to buy eggs, boil them, and let the kids decorate! :)
hugs and Good Friday wishes,

Photo a day for april

My friend Katie got us all motivated at TallyScrapper to pull out our camera's to follow fatmumslim's instagram photo a day challenge for April. (that's a mouthful! heehee)
I keep thinking to myself I don't take enough photos anymore. I am a scrapbooker - why am I not pulling out my camera like I used to?

I know the importance of losing a loved one unexpectedly.
Why am I being so stubborn?
le sigh.
I am trying not to be too hard on myself.. but I really do need to whip myself into pulling that camera out more frequently.. i digress.

Here are my photos for April 1 - 3
1. reflection
or this one.. i couldn't decide
Did I mention I am seriously considering chopping off all my hair?
It reaches the middle of my back.. and I despise brushing it anymore.
I want something short and cute with a touch of color like pink or teal or blue!!
am I crazy?

2. color
I love when this tree is in bloom.. it's so pretty!

3. mail
boring.. but as I heard someone say on another persons photo.. it could easily come a time where mail will be all online.. so this photo may mean something some day. :)

One last tidbit.. I'm up over on the ClearScraps blog today.. I would LOVE it
if you hopped over there to leave me some love.

here's a peak at what I created.. it was made for Katelyn's new room.
I'll share the rest of this here soon!!

Have a most beautiful day my friends!
