Cupcake Memory Toppers

Good Morning friends, I have two posts up today... the first one with Pink Paislee you can find here. :) :) :)

I am so excited to show you my project feature for Some Odd Girl!! It has been so hard keeping these cuties hidden away. My children celebrated birthdays on Feb. 20th and March 9th,  but they shared a birthday party on Feb. 25th and I created these with a birthday in mind.

Cupcake Memory Toppers
Aren't they adorable?
I started off by using my Bigshot and Nestabilities circles cutting out 1 7/8" circles with Copic X-Press it paper, then I stamped my favorite Some Odd Girl images in the circles using Memento ink.

I stamped 8 pairs of images. I knew I would be putting quite a bit of time into these... I not only wanted cuteness, but functionality... enter in the idea to turn these cute toppers into a Matching Memory game.

They weren't perfect by any means, but I colored them close enough to recognize a match once they were turned over. My children totally LOVED them, and made me feel like the best mom in the world. :)

The kids love playing the Some Odd Girls memory game, they are holding up surprisingly well on the rosettes! Once they are done playing with them, I bet I could still add them to a card or something too. :)

I hope you've enjoyed this project feature, hop on over to the Some Odd Girl blog to see other fabulous ideas using Some Odd Girl products!

Clear Scraps with Pink Paislee

Did you know that Clear Scraps and Pink Paislee have teamed up for a cross promotional blog hop? Today, I'm up on the Clear Scraps Blog, but I thought I would share here on my blog too. Make sure you visit both blogs at Clear Scraps and Pink Paislee for a chance to win a gorgeous prize pack!!

Today I want to share with you a canvas I created using Pink Paislee's new Christy Tomlinson's She Art line! I was so excited to receive the paper and She Art die cuts, as I am a big fan of Christy's mixed media work.
I started this canvas off by adhering different 6x6 pieces of paper from the She Art collection to a 12 x 6 canvas.
The clear scraps bird embellishment went perfectly with this Pink Paislee line. I just adhered the bird as is, and added some doodling and rub ons so it blended into the scenery.
The die cuts make it really easy to create a scene that will cheer up any space in your house! You can personalize the die cuts by doodling or adding rub ons or paint to them.

U-Turn chipboard mini album

I was up on the Clear scraps blog a few days ago, and almost forgot to share with you all here. This being sick thing is turning my mind to mush.
I used products from March's TallyScrapper kit to decorate it!

The Uturn album is so funky and cool!
The arrows create fantastic movement don't you think?

With that in mind, I thought highlighting photos of time spent with family outdoors would be a great use of this fantastic chipboard album.
This album came together quickly.
I started off by covering all the chipboard pages with pattern paper.
I like painting on a really thin layer of mod podge for this step.

To me, this album was so cute all on its own I didn't think a lot of embellishments were needed. On the front of the arrows and star, I used my Viva Decor pens for a bit of outlining.  If you love Clear Scraps Acrylic, I think you'll  fall in love with their chipboard too! Check out all the lovely chipboard albums in the store and let your imagination take flight!

Supplies Used:
Clear Scraps Uturn Chipboard Album
Pattern Paper: October Afternoon, Bo Bunny
Alpha Stickers: Jenni Bowlin, Cosmo Cricket
Stickers and chipboard: October Afternoon
Ribbon: American Crafts
Bling: Websters Pages
Twine: The Twinery
Glue: Mod Podge
Ink/Paint: Viva Decor, Ranger Distress Inks

Thanks so much for stopping by, I love hearing from you!!

Welcome Spring

Hi everyone!
Today I'm up on the Clear Scraps Blog, but I wanted to share here with you as well.
Just a few more days until Spring arrives on our doorstep.
My daffodils have been in bloom for a couple of weeks now, which inspired this project today to welcome in the new season.

I'll be using these items from Clear Scraps.

I grabbed a wreath from the dollar store, paper from my stash, Clear Scraps products, alcohol ink and went to town.

(You can click on the photo to see it larger)

Playing with alcohol ink is just so much fun.
Our schedule here at home as been particularly full lately, and I found applying the alcohol ink to the Clear Scraps acrylic to be a stress reliever.

Aren't the colors reminiscent of spring?

I also wanted to mention that crafty inspiration for this cone wreath came from Cassie, I first saw these made on her blog.
I love her gorgeous banners and wreaths, go check her out!
Hope your Thursday is filled with beauty!

I am also linking this up to Paper Issues Go Green linky!!

hugs, Leah

sneak peek

Phew.. what a busy last few days.
Last night, Samantha had her 1st grade Old McDonald play.
All the kids were soooo cute!!

Mr. Hartless does an excellent job getting all the kids ready for presentations like these.
I've embedded a quick snip from some of the play last night.

here are some shots from the car and right before the performance.
The first two I got in my rear view mirror.

This little beauty with Samantha is one of her BFF's... during the performance they kept whispering in each others ear.. they were so cute to watch on stage.

and as promised... a sneak peek from the latest Clear Stamp release coming out on March 19th from Some Odd Girl!!!.... be sure to check back on Friday... you'll have a chance (correction.. SEVEN chances) to win a prize pack from Some Odd Girl!!
Ready?
I loveeee this new release so much, I think you will too!!!
Thanks for stopping in today, hugs!!

New featured Digi!!

I LOVE all the little dude images that Kristy has created at Some Odd Girl!
This one is no exception..

My little man Cameron has been known to HOP into a puddle or two while out shopping... lucky for me the splash usually hits mid calf of my pants legs. ;-) What is it with those puddles?? I'd say it has nothing to do with mama liking to drive the van through big puddles! ;-)

Isn't Tobie a cutie??
I LOVE his galoshes and that wee frog hanging on tight as they play away in the water.
Lucky for you.. you can now grab this little stinker for 25% off, just in time for those April showers!  ;)  But hurry!  Stompin' Tobie is only on sale until March 25th, 'cuz we'll have another Featured Digi to share after that!

Go check out the other ODD girl creations using this little dude!
Thanks so much for taking the time to join me today!
hugs, xoxo
